ArchivesACT was established in 2008 as a section of the Territory Records Office. The role of ArchivesACT is to facilitate access to the ACT Government archives.
ArchivesACT is located at 255 Canberra Avenue Fyshwick. To request access to ACT Government records you can fill in a request form describing your research topic. We will identify any relevant ACT Government records that are available and contact you to arrange a time for you to visit our Reading Room. To speak to an archivist in person you are most welcome to drop in for a chat. Our opening hours are 9.30 - 5pm weekdays.
ArchivesACT are here to help you begin your research journey by providing finding guides, recommending relevant records and facilitating access to original material.
